Big 7 Travel has put together the ‘World’s Most Instagrammable Countries 2019’ and found the best places in South Africa and the world for you to get that perfect grammable shot!

How did Big 7 Travel choose the winners? They made use of a scoring system that analysed the amount of hashtags per destination, survey results of Big 7 Media readers, and votes cast by a panel of travel experts.

In fifth position, South Africa achieved a ranking of 80.94%, coming in behind Indonesia with 81.10%, Canada at 82.84%, Hong Kong at 86.99%, and Australia claiming the top spot with 89.98%.

Cape Town being an Instagrammer’s dream location – with endless natural beauty and clifftop views, pastel pink neighbourhoods and turquoise waters – is ultimately what pushed up South Africa’s ranking above other top ten contenders including Maldives, India, United States of America, Dubai and Singapore.

Claiming the top position for the best Instagrammable spot in Cape Town is the Diving Board rock on Table Mountain! It’s a four hours’ hike, but the views are absolutely worth it!
