“We pride ourselves in our love for nature and adventure”

Cape Town Twins is a unique brand formed by two fun twins, Lindokuhle and Sibusiso Mokwena. We are originally from the East Rand, Katlehong. We initially came to Cape Town for a job opportunity that was presented to us back in 2013. Once we settled in, we began to explore the city and fell head over heels in love with it. It also accepted us so well that we got the name Cape Town Twins and started posting our experiences on social media. We pride ourselves in our love for nature and adventure, so on our vibrant platform we cover lifestyle; fun hikes and traveling, with the objective of motivating the youth to explore our beautiful country. Even though we have not yet travelled South Africa to the fullest, we just love how diverse it is, from the people and their cultures to the scenic natural sites.

“It’s fun to step out of your comfort zone”

One of our main passions is hiking, it’s our way of staying fit and meeting new people who could potentially introduce us to new opportunities – the same with traveling – hence we are constantly encouraging people to join us. It’s fun to step out of your comfort zone because you get to broaden your knowledge by experiencing new things; it is with no doubt educational.

“…that was when we realised we need to discover hidden gems”

Everyone has that ideal holiday trip in their minds, for us it was coming to the Mother Land and going up Table Mountain. One of our memorable experiences was when we then tried to go up but could not afford the Table Mountain cable car and a tour guide and that was when we thought of hiking on our own. Our second attempt was successful and turned out to be the best and fulfilling experience of our lives. From there, we started inviting our friends and Cape Town to join us whenever we hike.

First visit to Paarl weekend away, we went to abseil down Paarl rock and it was incredible. We also drank our first KWV brandy and slept at one of the best hotels in Paarl (our opinion), and that was when we realized we need to discover hidden gems.

Paarl Rock hike in the Rain. It’s an easy hike to and from the peak of this massive boulder, but its slippery when wet. We linked up with @TravelVids to explore Paarl and did a video on how to spend a day in Paarl.

Team Weekend (A group of awesome influencers) #exploreCitrusdal . We were Camping for the first time, but it was a modern family friendly camp. We did a mini Zip lining at Piekenierskloof Mountain Resort. Our aim of these videos was to help show our peers how trying new things can change the way you view life, there is so much that is mind blowing out there and we are simply trying to see as much as we can.
